Pan Orthodox Tournament
The OYAA season ends with the Pan Orthodox Basketball Tournament. The Pan Orthodox Tournament started in 1968, and was held every year through 2019 in the middle of March, regularly involving 60-75 Orthodox teams from Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Ontario, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and other states over the 3-day weekend event. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic forced the OYAA to cancel the 2020 and 2021 Tournaments, ending its consecutive 52-year run. The Pan Orthodox Tournament returned in 2022.
The Pan Orthodox Tournament uses a winner's bracket and a consolation bracket format, and all teams are guaranteed a minimum of 2 games. Awards are given to each division's Champion, Runner-Up and Consolation Champion, and an All-Tournament Team in all divisions, except for the Biddys.
The 2023 Pan Orthodox Tournament is scheduled for the weekend of March 17-19, 2023.
